You can follow along with planned exercises, or you may choose to work independently and receive individual instruction from the teacher. Serious beginners and seasoned painters are all welcome. We will be able to leave our supplies at the studio all week!

MATERIALS: Oil or acrylic colors: Titanium White, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow Light, Cadmium Orange, Cadmium Red Light, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Viridian Green, Sap Green, Mars Black, Sap Green.
Brushes: for oil painters, natural hog bristle flats, #2, 4, 6, 8 10. For acrylic painters, purchase the same size brushes for acrylic painting; Princeton is a good brand.
Palette: a 12˝ x 16˝ disposable paper palette tablet along with a 12˝ x 16˝ Masterson Sta-Wet Palette Seal (plastic box with lid to keep your paints from drying out).
Misc.: Linseed oil for oil painters; paper towels; rags; 11/2 inch palette knife; 14˝ x 18˝ canvas boards—or larger; Turpenoid, jars to hold both dry and wet brushes; vine charcoal sketchbook and colored pencils; Silicoil Brush Cleaning Tank with spring inside.
All these materials can be purchased at Blick Art Materials in San Diego, and Warwick’s in La Jolla also has some of the supplies.
