MATERIALS: Paper: one sheet of Arches 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper, one sheet of Arches or Fabriano 140 lb. hot-pressed watercolor paper.
Brushes: #12 or 14 round watercolor brushes; 1˝ flat watercolor brush.
Paints: Suggested professional grade paint palette. (Do the best you can according to your budget.)
Watercolor Brands: Daniel Smith, M. Graham, Winsor & Newton, Di Vinci, Holbein.
Pigments: Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow Light, Quinacridone Red, Quinacridone Rose or Permanent Rose, Quinacridone Gold, Quinacridone Burnt Sienna or Burnt Sienna, Phthalo Turquoise, Sap Green, Phthalo Green, Ultramarine Blue or French Ultramarine, Cobalt Blue, Phthalo Blue, Manganese Blue, Carbazole Violet.
Other: palette; matte medium, gel or liquid; gesso; support board, 15˝ x 22˝ or larger (hardboard can be cut at Home Depot), large water container; 2B soft pencil and soft eraser; paper towels, drafting or artist’s tape (not blue painters’ tape).
