MATERIALS: Paper: one sheet of 140 lb. hot-pressed Arches or Fabriano watercolor paper; one sheet of 140 lb. cold-pressed Arches or Fabiano watercolor paper. 

 

Brushes: one or more of #10, #12, or # 14 round watercolor brushes; 1” flat acrylic brush.

 

Watercolors: Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow Light, Quinacridone Red, Quinacridone Rose or Permanent Rose, Quinacridone Gold, Quinacridone Burnt Sienna or Burnt Sienna, Phthalo Turquoise, Sap Green, Phthalo Green, Ultramarine Blue or French Ultramarine, Cobalt Blue, Phthalo Blue, Manganese Blue, Carbazole Violet. (Suggested professional grade tube watercolors if possible; do the best you can according to your budget: Daniel Smith, Holbein, M. Graham, Winsor & Newton, or Da Vinci.)

 

Other: pan or personal palette; small jar of white gesso; water container; 2B soft pencil: soft eraser; hair dryer with diffuser attachment (to spread the air evenly) or heat gun; one tube white gouache; one black Tombow pen; one black Stabilo pen.
