Two field trips will support our coursework. On Thursday, October 17, we will attend the Open Portfolio reviews at Medium Photo Festival in North Park. The class on October 31 will be substituted with a visit to the Museum of Photographic Arts on Saturday, November 2, including a behind the scenes tour with selected images from their 9000+ photographic collection, plus, TBA, a visit with a southern California gallery owner.

MATERIALS:  Required: First Class Meeting: A minimum of 10 “work” photographs of your best images printed approximately 8.5” x 11” or smaller. Whatever format you choose, all 10 must be the same size. No large prints or mounted images, because we will be sharing and handling them with our classmates.

Every Class Meeting: Bring your own journal that you already use or purchase a Moleskin-like bound book. You will need this journal for note taking and other important thoughts, ideas, and points you will want to remember as well as items discussed during the course.
