2. 2-D EXPLORATIONS & MIXED-MEDIA WORKSHOP, AGES 9-13

In this class Michelle Montjoy will guide you through a different form of two-dimensional art each day. Drawing, painting, printmaking, collage and mixed media will be covered in a supportive and creative environment. Come explore various ways to translate your ideas into visual imagery.  

 

Materials: All materials will be supplied for the $30 fee, which should be paid to Michelle at the first class meeting.

 

3. THE ART OF CARTOONING, AGES 9-13

1 PM-4 PM

($160 for members /$180 for nonmembers) + $30 material fee

Learn how to draw funny characters with the help of a professional artist, Victoria Polyak, MA (www.victoriapolyak.com). With the simple step-by-step drawing method, children will create amazing drawings in a variety of styles, including a very popular anime/manga style of drawing. Young artists will learn a lot of neat tricks and tips and will create a portfolio of cartoon people, animals, and many popular characters, such as Mickey Mouse, Pokemon, and Sponge Bob Square Pants. 

 

Materials: All materials will be supplied for the $30 fee, which should be paid to Victoria at the first class meeting.

4. UNDER THE SEA ART ADVENTURES, AGES 7-12

(1 hour break, lunch supervision available)

Get ready for an underwater art adventure! This hands-on art camp will inspire kids to use their imagination and create unique projects with special focus on painting, drawing, and clay explorations of life below the sea. Join educator and professional artist Victoria Polyak, MA (www.victoriapolyak.com) for a wonderful summer of beautiful sea creatures, art, and fun!

56. MANY WAYS TO MAKE PRINTS, AGES 10-14

9:30 AM-12:30 PM

Every day in this weeklong class we will explore a different way of making a print, including linoleum blocks, carved foam, monoprints, basic silk screening and even printing fish. Michelle will give you the skills you need, and then encourage you to experiment and play with the techniques you have learned. You will go home with a portfolio of various prints.
