Please Note Registration and Refund Policies

HOW TO REGISTER: Registration for classes may be made by telephone (858) 454-5872, in person or by mailing in the registration form (see link above) to the Athenaeum. Telephone registrations may be charged to American Express, Discover Card, Visa or MasterCard. Mailed registrations may be charged to a credit card or paid by check payable to the Athenaeum and sent to:

ENROLLMENT: Art classes are limited to approximately 18-20 students for adult classes and 12-15 students for children's classes. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that many classes fill quickly. Early enrollment is encouraged. Tuition must be paid in full by the first class meeting to ensure a place in a class and/or workshop. Please, no visitors. If you wish to sit in on a class, you must enroll. To request a brochure and/or to be placed on the School of the Arts mailing list, please call the Athenaeum or click on "Join our Mailing List."

SCHOOL REFUND POLICY: A full refund will only be given if a class, workshop or tour is cancelled, filled prior to receipt of your registration, or if the teacher does not accept you as a student.

A credit for another class in the next School of the Arts session will be extended to students who are unable to attend and have notified the School of the Arts five business days before the beginning of class. A partial credit will be given only within two days (48 hours) following the first class meeting for classes that meet once a week. Students will be charged for classes attended.

CANCELLATIONS: The Athenaeum reserves the right to cancel classes and workshops prior to or at the beginning of the first class meeting. A full refund will be given automatically or tuition may be applied to another course during the current session.
