Join us for a still life oil painting workshop inspired by the culinary still life tradition of Chardin. All aspects of still life painting will be covered in this 2-day workshop; accurate drawing, perspective, composition, and color mixing with a limited palette will be taught using a traditional still life arrangement of china, copper pots, rustic pottery and fresh produce.
Grab a coffee, we will begin each morning with a power point lesson followed by a demo on painting process & technique. Afterward students will paint independently for the remainder of the morning. As the paintings progress students will discuss creative issues and learn through discussion and group critique.
