HOME / EXHIBITIONS / PERMANENT COLLECTION / PATRON GIFTS
This year marks the 31st anniversary of the Athenaeum's Patron Gift program. Annually, the executive director commissions a recently exhibited artist to create an editioned artwork to be gifted to members at the Patron level and above. The original art—the first in the edition—enters the Athenaeum's Patron Gift Collection, which includes two-dimensional prints and photographs, painted wood, embroidered vinyl, silk-screened textile, ceramic and porcelain sculpture, and an artists’ book.
Each June, the board of trustees, executive director, and staff host the Patron Celebration, a convivial event that honors our upper-level members and shows appreciation for their support and patronage. They are further recognized by the Patron Gift, which is presented at the celebration.
For information on taking part in this unique program, contact Dave Eassa, Director of Philanthropy and Engagement, at deassa@ljathenaeum.org.
Selected works by the participating artists are displayed in the library room with the Eloise and Russell Duff CD Collection Space.
