This course will explore the fundamentals of relief printmaking through carving and printing techniques. Participants will learn about the various types of relief blocks, inks, papers, and carving tools commonly used. Demonstrations and guided projects will cover image design, carving, inking, hand printing, press printing, and textile stamping. Your individual creative voice and experimentation will be encouraged. Beginners welcome.
Materials: Please bring $20 materials fee for Chris. Additional materials will be discussed at the first class meeting.
