Many of you have heard of the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. This class is a condensed version of this book. It is a distilled version of the basic concept laid out in her books. We will cover contours, negative space, a bit of perspective, shadows, and proportion. It will be fun to combine concepts and look at better ways to draw that can be used in any other class you take. If you have the book, all the better. If not, you may want to purchase it, but it is not necessary. Take the class and improve all your drawing skills!
Materials: Sketch pad, 9” x12”; pencils 4B, 2B, HB, and 6B; handheld pencil sharpener; kneaded and vinyl erasers.
