January 8 & 9
(2 Days, 10 hours of instruction)
La Jolla Studio
$160/180 + $5 materials fee paid to instructor
All aspects of still-life painting will be covered in this two-day workshop: perspective, composition, color, and accuracy will be taught using an arrangement of rustic and organic objects. In this workshop we will be focusing on minimalism and subtlety, mixing grays from a limited palette and creating strong compositions using shape and value.
Grab a coffee! We will begin each morning with a PowerPoint lesson followed by a demo on painting process and technique. Afterward, students will paint independently for the remainder of the morning. As the paintings progress, students will discuss creative issues and learn through discussion and group critique.
Pat welcomes students of all levels.
