In this class we will be drawing and painting flowers using a combination of pencils, pen and ink techniques, and watercolor. We will be looking at details and working with photos of hibiscus, iris, etc., as well as real flowers. Having fun with drawing techniques such as crosshatch and using a nib will be included. Students will also explore the expressive qualities of different pencils, and mostly the translucent and vibrant effects achievable with watercolor. All are welcome to attend but some drawing skills would be helpful. Please bring materials to the first class.
