“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” —Carl Jung

Summer print and letterpress workshop with a dream theme. “Dreams are the facts from which we must proceed”, Jung said. We will be creating content inspired by your dreams, dreams of another world, dreams of peace, calming dreams, dreams that excite, dreams that shake or shape us.

In this three-day workshop we will combine linocuts as image and use of letterpress text to create a suite of prints to be exchanged with the class participants.

Class participants will draw or transfer designs and carve the linoleum block. Add letterpress text to the print by using the array of fonts available in the print studio.

The Asbern presses will be set-up to print the 4x6 linocut blocks and the text in one pass with the ability to run the edition of prints to be included in the suite.

Beginners as well as experienced artists are welcome.

Materials: Materials are included with the materials fee.
