Laurie Gibson is an editor with more than two decades of experience serving writers, book and periodical publishers, and other organizations (e.g., nonprofits such as the Southern Poverty Law Center). She’s had the honor of proofreading the writing of groundbreaking novelist Alice Walker, business guru Brian Tracy, and Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia Inc. Additionally, she taught copyediting at both UCSD and UCLA Extension for several years. Her love of storytelling led to the creation of Book Publishing 1-2-3, which she’s presented throughout California to help writers learn how to launch their work into the world. Connect with her on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/in/laurie-gibson-a6b2645. Book Publishing 1-2-3 was spotlighted in a sister paper of the Los Angeles Times: https://www.latimes.com/socal/la-canada-valley-sun/news/tn-vsl-me-workshop-20170703-story.html.
