The Athenaeum Friends of Chamber Music is a group of individuals who contribute especially to support the Athenaeum’s chamber music programming. The Friends of Chamber Music mission is to ensure that Athenaeum chamber concerts continue to offer a compelling mix of established performers and carefully chosen emerging stars. We present highlights of the beloved canon of chamber music repertoire, enriched by a judicious selection of new compositions and unjustly neglected gems from the past three hundred years.

We are delighted to invite you to join the Athenaeum’s Friends of Chamber Music group and support our mission to bring high-quality chamber music featuring a balance of established and emerging performers, and a mix of classic repertoire with engaging, less frequently heard or newer works. Your membership will play a vital role in ensuring the continued excellence of the Barbara & William Karatz Chamber Concert Series.

We are starting a new Friends of Chamber format to align with the chamber season. If you’re already a member, please contact us so we can offer you a pro-rated Friends of Chamber renewal for the 2023–2024 season. At the heart of our efforts is the commitment to present concerts that match or exceed the exceptional quality of the performances we have offered in recent years. We aim to create a dynamic and compelling season by featuring both renowned chamber music performers and carefully chosen emerging stars.

As a Friend of Chamber Music, you will not only support the vibrant chamber music community but also access the exclusive benefits based on your level of contribution.
