Join us in exploring the ways in which we can use natural materials in the creation of unique living artwork you can either hang on the wall or use as a holiday centerpiece. In this immersive, hands-on workshop, participants will create their own preserved moss art piece using a variety of natural textures, colors, accent pieces, and design techniques. No prior experience is needed—just creativity and a love of nature. By seeing natural materials as tools for expression and creation, we can deepen our connection to the natural world.

Students will explore

  • biophilic art; overview and importance, connection with environmental art movement

  • how to create a beautiful and balanced design by observing organic shapes/taking inspiration from the natural world. (Participants will be invited outside to gather inspiration.)

  • how to handle moss and delicate folia and how to properly prepare it.

  • how to make the design come to life

  • information on the care and longevity of these materials

Materials: All materials provided.

Max students: 12
