Bring the beauty, color, and endless variety of nature into your artwork. Explore the rich shapes, textures, and hues of flowers and leaves while experimenting with creative processes for incorporating botanicals into works on paper.
Through hands-on exploration, we will delve into techniques including hammer-flower printing, eco-dyeing, direct leaf printing, and more. We’ll explore other botanical processes, such as Gelli printing and shadow painting, as time allows. Each student will select at least one process that inspires them to create a series of pages, then bind them into a unique artist’s book.
