Lorem Ipsum is a placeholder (or “dummy”) text used in design and publishing to fill layout spaces before final content is ready. Derived from Cicero’s first century BC Latin text, it is scrambled to appear nonsensical, ensuring that viewers will focus on visual layout rather than reading text. This is a fun, experimental type workshop that celebrates the random and unexpected nature of letterpress printing! Using wood type and working collaboratively, you will be printing a word or words of your choice, creating a folio of posters to be exchanged at the end of class. All skill levels are welcome.
Materials: All materials are provided with the materials fee paid to the instructor.
