Taking Stock/Containers of Memories: Viviana Lombrozo

Viviana Lombrozo exhibited in the Main Gallery and Rotunda her assemblages that observe, catalogue and examine her own personal recollections, allowing the connection of past, present and future. Her assemblages included a combination of found objects (mostly family heirlooms and trinkets) with her own artwork; they consisted of wall sculptures, self-standing sculptures and sculptures suspended from the ceiling. A block of ice was also suspended from the ceiling of the Main Gallery, gradually melting into a container on the floor below.
