In Alex Katz’s “Bill 2,” choreographer Bill T. Jones looms over a Fay Avenue parking lot. In Kota Ezawa’s “Once Upon a Time in the West,” architect Louis Kahn mulls the future from the side of a Citibank building. In Sandra Cinto’s “Untitled,” an ocean-inspired sprawl of webs and whorls overlooks a planter.

And in the open-air spaces that house these and other gems from the Murals of La Jolla collection, the art patrons can still commune with the art whenever they want. Even now.
