Flutist Rachel Beetz curates the opening concert of San Diego New Music’s 2016-17 season, whose provocative theme is “drought and deluge.” Cellist Jennifer Bewerse, pianist Kyle Adam Blair and percussionist Dustin Donahue will join her in performing six compositions, including a world premiere of Michael Pisaro’s new composition. 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21.
