Becoming a member is the best way to enjoy everything that the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library—San Diego's only membership library—has to offer. For only $50 a year for an individual membership (and $75 for a family membership), the benefits are many. There are several levels of membership, each with its own membership benefits. Members are the first to know of the Athenaeum's full schedule of events through our bi-monthly newsletter and other advance notifications. Also, only members may check out materials from the library, including books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs, sheet music, and LPs. Members receive access to the Naxos music streaming platform. In addition, members receive exclusive discounts on almost all of our programs, including studio art classes, concerts (classical, jazz and new music), lectures, and special events. An Athenaeum Music & Arts Library membership is one of the best values in San Diego.
We would be delighted to welcome you to our Athenaeum family! Memberships are valid for one year after enrollment. Personalized library cards arrive in the mail approximately two weeks after sign up.
The Athenaeum is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. All membership levels are eligible for a tax deduction with their membership. Please contact the Athenaeum at (858) 454-5872 during normal library hours if you have any questions.
