Column: The Patti Cooprider art exhibit at La Jolla’s Girard Gourmet is food for the spirit

When longtime local artist and arts supporter Patti Cooprider left her La Jolla home in the morning, her husband, Coop, didn’t always know the particulars about where she was going.
Maybe it was a board meeting. Patti was on a lot of boards. She could have been off volunteering at the Arc of San Diego, ArtReach or another favorite nonprofit organization. Or maybe she was having lunch or coffee with a friend. She had so many friends.
