Luc Leestemaker, Holland-born and Los Angeles-based, presented new landscapes in large and small format. He paints using a mixture of cement and acylics, then coats the paintings in an oil-based varnish as finish, which creates an oil painting look. In contrast, the cement creates a rough, organic look.
