KIMBERLY TOMNEY

Keeping in Form

November 14–December 31, 2009

K. V. Tomney presents sixteen small drawings (none larger than 7.25 x 8 inches) made by pen and ink with polymer and aluminum on paper. Pools, patios, and palm trees are among the images in what the artist describes elsewhere as “remote, spare, subdued drawings of southern california [sic]” (in the Artist Registry at www.drawingcenter.org). Many of the works are titled with locations from the San Diego area (e.g. Berry St., Lemon Grove Ave., Randolph St.). Tomney earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from San Diego State University.
