The exhibition contains five drawings titled Gates Mills Summer (pencil and oil stick on paper) and six large (6 x 7 feet and 6 x 8 feet) oil-on-canvas paintings designated Shaker Loops. The term references a 1978 music composition of the same name by John Adams while also conveying the simplicity and ecstatic movement within the Shaker sect. Black looping lines appear in most of the works. The opening reception featured a dance and musical performance by Bay Area artists Ellen Webb (dance), Scott Walton (bass), and Cecilia Engelhart (voice). Salk has a Master of Arts in Painting from San Diego State University.
