In conjunction with Quint Gallery, the Athenaeum presents recent artwork of Robert Irwin, who, as an artist, theoretician, and teacher, has played a pivotal role for the last fifty years in the development of the unique tenets of modern art. His Palladium, a work of light+shadow+reflection+color, is displayed on a wall of the Main Gallery. Also in the exhibition are selections from the Athenaeum’s permanent collection.
