San Diego State University Scholarship Winners Exhibition

For the fourth consecutive year, the Athenaeum presented artwork by seven scholarship winners of the San Diego State University Art Department. Artists in the exhibition were Linda Akesson, David Clemons, Sandra Doore, Shannon Lieberman, Laura Preito-Valeasco, Griselda Rosas and Stephanie Walker. Artworks included metal sculpture, an artist’s book, mixed media sculpture, charcoal drawings, and an original art history paper, “Myth, Narrative, and Vision: Dorothea Lange’s Photographs of Dust Bowl Migrants in Depression Era California.”
