The gallery becomes a walk-in novel about a fictional family from Tidewater, Virginia. Three centuries of family history are revealed through Machacek’s etchings, collages, drawings, installations, and artist’s books. Each gallery wall is a chapter in the novel; guests are provided a souvenir bookmark and follow a timeline around the gallery to visit each generation of the family. The artist holds a BFA from Boston Museum School of Fine Arts and an MFA from C. W. Post/Long Island Univer­sity. He is a co-founder of Bay Park Press.
