Athenaeum Faculty Exhibition at Girard Gourmet

Sharon Carol Demery’s students will exhibit their paintings at Girard Gourmet from Wednesday, October 31 until late January. Following Sharon, Morgan Miller III will exhibit some of his prints through mid-April. Drink a cup of coffee and enjoy the ambiance and the food.

 

Girard Gourmet is located at 7838 Girard Avenue, just up the street from the Athenaeum, and is open Monday through Saturday, from 7 AM to 8 PM, and on Sundays from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Student Exhibition at the Athenaeum Art Center in Logan Heights

A Tribute to Pam Whidden exhibition, previously on view in the Rotunda Gallery in La Jolla, is now on view in the art studio where she monitored many a life drawing class at the AAC in Logan Heights. It will be on view through February 1, 2019 during gallery hours Tuesdays and Thursdays while classes are not in session and during the monthly Barrio Art Crawl (second Saturday of every month).

Teacher Exhibition in the Library Nook at the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library

Ken and Stephanie Goldman

The Library Nook in La Jolla has artwork by Ken and Stephanie Goldman on display. The Library Nook is located in the interior stairwell leading to the La Jolla art studio in the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library. Also, Ken and Stephanie's students' artwork is currently on view in the La Jolla art studio.

The Student Exhibition has been postponed until June 8, 2019, corresponding with the Barrio Art Crawl on second Saturdays. As in every year, students, friends, members and the public will have the opportunity to see and purchase work created during classes in 2018 by our talented students. Join us for this exciting occasion and see the studio transformed into a gallery, which will be open to the public from Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM daily. Drop-off and pick-up dates and times for ONE art work per student will be announced soon.
