Sketches, illustrations, proofs, and original paintings by Lambert Davis, illustrator of children’s books, were exhibited. An honors graduate of the Pasadena Art Center College of Design, Davis sent samples of his work to the prestigious publishing house Harcourt Brace Jovanovich. They commissioned him to illustrate The Jolly Mon, by Jimmy and Savannah Jane Buffet, published in 1988, and later commissioned the artist to illustrate The Terrible Hodag and The Bells of Christmas.
